I spent most of a decade in insurance pricing before I wrote about gambling, which is why I read bonus terms the way an actuary reads a policy. Both are contracts where the interesting information is deliberately placed where people do not look, and in both cases the number on the front is the least useful thing on the page.
What made me focus on locks specifically was how many complaints came down to the same misunderstanding — somebody accepted a match, assumed their deposit was still theirs to withdraw, and discovered otherwise at the cashier. The operator had disclosed it. Nobody had ever presented it where it would be read.
So I test with and without an offer, at the same amounts on the same days, and publish the difference. I am based in Scottsdale. If a lock mechanic or a forfeit route on this page has changed, tell me and I will correct it — these are checkable clauses and getting them wrong could cost someone weeks of access to their own money.
Fund the account personally. Play. Request a withdrawal. Log the submission time, the approval time and the arrival time as three separate numbers. Rank on the middle one, because it is the only number the operator controls. Re-test when a reader reports something different.
